What is Microneedling?

What to expect
Before your appointment
A consultation first. Pause retinol and exfoliating acids for three to five days, avoid sun, and tell us about any medications, cold sores or recent treatments.
During your appointment
About 45 to 60 minutes including numbing cream. The pen passes over the skin in sections; it feels like light sandpaper with the numbing.
After your appointment
Skin looks sunburned for 24 to 48 hours and may feel tight. Use only the gentle products we send you home with, no makeup for 24 hours, and SPF once the skin has calmed.
Between visits
Sessions are spaced four to six weeks apart. Collagen keeps building for months, so results improve between treatments.

Frequently asked questions
Does microneedling hurt?
We apply a topical numbing cream before your treatment to keep you as comfortable as possible! Most clients describe the sensation as a little scratchy or prickly, but very tolerable. Some areas may be more sensitive than others, but we'll make sure you're comfortable every step of the way!
How many sessions do I need?
It depends on your skin goals! Most clients benefit from a series of 3–6 treatments, especially when targeting acne scars, fine lines, and texture. We'll create a personalized treatment plan based on your skin's needs and goals!
When can I wear makeup?
We recommend waiting at least 48 hours before applying makeup to give your skin time to heal. The good news? An approved tinted SPF is totally fine! We'll walk you through all your aftercare instructions to keep your skin happy and healing!
