Cherry questions, answered
How long does approval take?
Seconds. You apply from your phone and get a decision right away. Approvals last at least 30 days, and you can see the exact date in your Cherry account.
Will applying affect my credit score?
No. Applying is a soft credit check, which does not impact your score. Once a payment plan is active, Cherry typically begins reporting it to the credit bureaus after 30 days.
What do I need to apply?
You must be 18 or older, live in the United States, have a bank-issued debit or credit card (prepaid cards are not accepted), and have a mobile phone to receive your checkout link.
Is there a down payment?
Yes. A down payment is due at checkout to start your plan. It is typically equal to one monthly payment, and you can choose to put down more. Debit cards have no processing fee; credit cards carry a 2.99% fee.
Do I have to finance the whole visit?
No. You can use Cherry for all or part of your purchase, up to your approved amount, and pay the rest the usual way.
Can I pay it off early?
Yes. Log in to your Cherry account at any time to pay off your plan or change your due date.
