Read before your laser treatment
How should I prepare for my treatment?
- No sun exposure for 30 days prior (chase the shade + SPF!)
- No sunless tanners for 30 days prior
- No injectables 14 days prior to treatment
- Arrive with a clean, dry face
- Then relax—we’ll work our magic
How should I take care of my skin after my treatment?
- No sun exposure for 30 days post-treatment (shade + SPF, always)
- Use your post-care kit (we’ll give it to you at your appointment)
- No workouts for 48 hours after
- Avoid alcohol and anything that flushes your skin (sauna, hot tub, etc.) for 48 hours
How will my skin feel after?
A little like a sunburn—warm, tight, and sensitive—but that fades within 1–2 days.
What’s the healing process like?
In the days after treatment, your skin might look a bit red and feel rough—like sandpaper. You may also notice tiny dark dots called MENDS (microscopic epidermal necrotic debris). These are little bits of treated pigment rising to the surface, and they’re a very good sign!
✨ Don’t pick, scrub, or exfoliate. Let your skin do its thing, and those dots will flake off naturally within about 7–10 days, revealing smoother, brighter skin underneath.
When can I wear makeup again?
Usually 1–2 days post-treatment. Colorescience FLEX SPF is safe to wear 24 hours after your session.
What areas can be treated?
BBL HEROic and Moxi can be used anywhere on the face or body—wherever you want visible results.
How many treatments will I need?
Most people start with a series of 3 treatments spaced about 4 weeks apart. After that, we’ll create a custom maintenance plan to keep your glow going.
Can I combine laser treatments?
Yes, and we highly recommend it. Our go-to combo? Moxi + BBL HEROic. One tackles pigment, the other boosts texture—for skin that looks smooth, clear, and radiant.
